I have added a new technique to my healing modalities, Massage Cupping.
This can be an add on service for $10 for an extra 10 minutes or done during your regular hour massage at just the regular hourly rate. Stationary cups are just left on for 10 minutes. A Cellulite treatment can last for half an hour and the 1/2 hour charge of $45 would apply.
Massage cupping is an ancient Egyptian and Chinese healing art. Originally using hollowed out animal horns to drain toxins from snake bites and pustules.
They then switched to bamboo cups and Glass cups are now used as well as plastic manual pumped cups or squeeze bulbs.
Cups are placed on the back, glutes or upper legs. They can be left stationary or used to glide over areas to release stagnation. This therapy is not irritating to the skin however it does draw blood to the surface and turns red in areas of high stagnation. This ‘cup kiss’ is not painful at all and may last from 1-7 days.
